My husband and I walked this trail and thoroughly enjoyed it. It went through forest, farmland and a couple of short road sections. The views were beautiful and the trail was well signed and serviced with bridges and stiles. We parked in front of the church. Got a bit confused as to where to start but eventually headed uphill on the road and found the trail on the right. Well done to the team that organised this trail. The map at the church is confusing.

Really like this looped walk especially the diversion up to Mauherslieve which gives amazing views of pretty much all of Tipperary's peaks on a clear day. A real gem.

Note: Great new tea/coffee and information hub being developed at Kilcommon Community Hall.. Will be great to have a place to meet up with friends and fellow walkers before or after taking on the Loop walk.

It was so enjoyable, it was a brisk cold day, villagers really friendly . It would be lovely if there was a place where we could buy a tea or coffee......there were five of us and we had to go a few miles to get tea, would have been happy to linger around the Prayer Garden.

Some parts of the walk pass through evergreen forestry - quite dark, so don't leave it too late in the day to start the walk. Some stages can be wet and mucky , even in Summer, so be sure to wear the proper gear. All in all, this is a fantastic walk. Stop off in T.J. Carr's pub in the village for a pint and a chat with the locals on completion...bliss !

Fantastic trail. although the start point is not clearly marked. and the last 700 metres are a bit mucky (the part through the fields). Great apart from that. Talk to the people in the village about getting the use of the hall for after walk refreshments.
