Starting at either of the two Long Hill Car Parks this trail on forest road and track follows one of the old driving roads almost to the now dry Paddock Ponds, returning by a pleasant gradual uphill climb with good views over the Deerpark and Powerscourt Waterfall.

Nice walk if you stick to the trails, took about 2hrs with children, fantastic views. The climbs on the short trail are easy for kids.It's north facing so bring some warm clothes.

Overall I liked the blue loop, easy walk, a few nice views and lots of forest. Also, I found it marked quite well.

No markings at any part resulted in a 3.5 hour cross country, bush bash to Powerscourt waterfall then a walk along the road to the car park. On the way we passed other lost folk and even dropped a couple back to the car park. They were 5km lost.

It could be very pleasant with a little help of trail markers.
