This walk takes you through fields, on laneway and farm passage and along quiet roads, passing the ruins of both Curramore House and later Killagholane Church (worth a visit). Picturesque views of West Limerick open up on the higher ground and at one point the trees of Gleann Beag are below. A couple of seats are provided to enjoy these.

A very pleasant walk starting in the village of Broadford. Well marked and parking provided at the trail head. The trail, from the trail head then throughout the walk, is one of the best marked trails I have walked on so far. The ascent is slow and steady and well worth the view when you arrive at the bench located near the top. Take a moment to enjoy the stunning views. Appears trail is well maintained and I really enjoyed the stroll. I will return to try another of the remaining three trails starting at the trail head.

I was lucky enough to be in Broadford the day this trail was launched. I must give the committee involved in creating the trail the highest praise - the trail is very clearly marked out, it is mostly off-road and very safe, farmland is fenced-off specifically for walkers and the sights are breath-taking. The flora and fauna were also a highlight for me.

There are large rainproof maps available to buy locally or just follow the route signs marked out.

I'll be back!
