Wonderful walk; starts off in lane through wooded area and went in anti-clockwise direction as it continues through forest roads/trails up hill for about 5k. Views on way down were lovely overlooking the Galtees. Strolled around and took 3 hrs. No obvious picnic spot along the way. Waymarkings very clear all along the route!
Go and explore! #lovecork

Not a bad trail. Mostly on mountain roads used for access to forest and telecommunications towers at the summit. A few good views but mostly screened by trees.

Good , well signposted walk, some great views on the first section taking the anti-clockwise route. However the path has been badly gutted by the recent rainfall but still traverse-able.Back section through forested road and with the continued logging, more views on that section opening up.Good workout for a couple of hours.

Great walk. About 3 hours 20 mins in length including a lunch break. The trail is dog friendly except for the road up to it. Parking is located at the cemetary about 500 m from the entrance to the trail. We set off on the trail in an anticlockwise orientation and found that the hill was a little steeper that way.

Did this walk today with my dog for the first time. Was very well signposted the whole way around, and some stunning views on the way up. The map on here is a little bit outdated, but the posts on the walks are clear on the changes so no risk of getting lost. Did it anti-clockwise and was a pretty easygoing climb. Met a few families walking the opposite direction, so think maybe the clockwise climb is a little easier for kids. Took us 2hrs 45 with a few stops for photos. As some have mentioned, as you're walking through forestry the views are blocked by trees for some of the walk.

They're felling trees up there at the moment, thankfully as we went on Sunday there was no activity, but worth noting.

Nice circular route. Parking was easy and the route was well signposted. No park bench /seating along the way and the views were often hidden by trees. The start of the walk is signposted from the village and then you park next to the cemetery.

A most enjoyable walk, very well signposted. I walked anti clockwise and there were excellent views as the route went up. The second half of the walk was in more dense woodlands but most enjoyable. The paths were very well developed and posed no challenges. Highly recommend in a great part but not a well explored part of the county.

Did this in late December 2014 on the same day as the local Hunt met, nice village and great storyboard on Nano Nagle, Hennessey and Burke. My experience of the walk itself is that the views are restricted as it is mainly on paved forest roads and therefore limited by the trees. A few muddy sections were on single track paths...took 2.5hrs to do the full loop, make sure to bring a route map with you.

Did this trail in April 2014. A good trail with some nice views in parts. One section towards the end is impassable due to fallen trees but this can be bypassed by following the Blackwater Way trail. Second half of the trail is through mature forestry so not many views but still well worth the trip.

Had gone here back in March and took wrong turn so felt it was still on my to do list. Came back on 30th June and it was well worth it. Nice easy enough climb to the top and good walk downhill. The usual great views. Some small river/streams passed by and it was a really nice walk. Some parts muddy but such is the last day of June in Ireland. When I was there in March it was 22c and not a cloud in the sky. What a mad but Beautiful country we live in.

Still think a few more signs would help.
