Description of Trail
This section of the old Limerick to Tralee railway in West Limerick which has been redeveloped as a walking and cycling trail is uphill most of the way although the gradients never exceed 2%. The section includes three level crossings, a high bridge, crossing over a minor road and a viaduct. Shortly after the viaduct the railway was incorporated into the N21 nand becomes a dedicated roadside tarmac cycleway for 2km with excellent views. There may be gates across the trail at which cyclists will have to dismount.
