This loop is very enjoyable, running through forest and along river bank on forest road, track and path, with wonderful variety and some beautiful views of Carrauntoohil, Mount Brandon and Tralee Bay. It is steeped in history, folklore and flora and fauna and offers peace and tranquility.

Fantastic walk with beautiful views. Very well laid out : 3 different lengths to suit everyone. Very well maintained by Coilte. Well done šŸ‘

Note from Sport Ireland Outdoors: These trails are maintained by John Lenihan and North East and West Kerry Development - Most of these three trails are on private land so Coillte has very little involvement in them.

Did this walk not long after the bad storm. Few great trees down at the start but nothing you couldn't go around or over. Actually amid the carnage it was fun to climb over trees . It was a bad Saturday and I had the walk to myself except for the two Donkeys I met, This walk is a must it's so beautiful and peaceful in the old woods and using some old tracts.Great history.

Will definatly go back again and again

Did walk on Good Friday 29-3-13 with my husband and 11year old daughter. It was just a brilliant experience. Would urge anyone with a free hour or two to do this walk - so full of peace, tranquility and beautiful scenery.
