This varied loop follows minor road, old laneways and riverside paths. It passes derelict Bordingstown village and young coniferous woodland before reaching the Silver River where there is beautiful river scenery as you walk through woodland alongside the rushing waters.

This is a gorgeous trail, uphill on Paul’s Lane passing an abandoned village which is really atmospheric. The downward leg is along Silver River, again just lovely.Fairly easy going. We completed loop in 75 minutes with a few pauses along the way, so I’d say it’s closer to 6km than the 8km listed.
